We’ve Been back in Scotland now for about three months... And that has flown by! The countdown to my retiral has also sped on, and there is now only 17 MONTHS until our return home for good. It’s almost beginning to seem real.
It’s going to continue to speed by as well as we have a busy year ahead of us. We have just managed to get tickets to see the mighty U2 at Hampden Park in Glasgow on 18th August, and we already had tickets for the same venue to see the one and only ACDC and Eagles on 30th June and 4th July respectively! It doesn’t get much better than that.
If that isn’t good enough Donna’s folks, Dave, Gloria & Aunty Cyn are coming over in July. I hope they do not miss the UK summer, as I believe that is on the 15th & 16th July this year! :-) I have been enjoying the start of the AFL season so far with Eagles winning a couple of games (can you imagine how that must feel, Shayne & Glenn & Connor??) On Sunday I came home off nightshift and watched our victory over Bulldogs live. Anyway, take care, and GO EAGLES! Till next time - Brian XXX
G’day Family and Friends .... Donna here!....Hope you had a HAPPY EASTER!
Brian and I ‘chocked out’ big time on Cadbury’s Creme Eggs! ... Sticky Gooey Bliss!
Easter came and went and I turned another year older... Had an awesome time with friends and got some really nice gifts...... Brian got me a ‘Swim with the Sharks’.... Hmmm what’s in it for Brian? Funnily enough the ink on my new will isn’t even dry.... and he wants to chuck me in the shark infested waters of Deep Sea World..... Somethings a little bit weird about that! Having said that, I’m really up for the task and just know it will be ‘an experience’.
Am off on another ‘mini cruise’ next week with my girlfriend Tish... Sight seeing in Spain for 4 hours hahahaha... Love living life ‘on the edge’ The challenge for Tish and me is to see just what we can get up to in 240 minutes in Bilbao. Last time we went it was only 3 hours in Spain ( thank goodness Daylight Saving has just kicked in, providing us with an extra hour)
We spent 2 of the 3 hours dodging ‘dog logs’ on the pavement, in doorways, on the road, on the grass, in the gardens etc,.... The experience was SO traumatic that we headed for the bar and stayed there till it was time to board the boat..... Hahaha and we are about to do it all again next week! Crazy or what?
So that’s what I’ve been up to.... Hey that’s life in the Northern Hemisphere! Anyhow.... Better stop before I bore the socks off you with work and ‘brian & me’ stuff’ Ok well I’m out of here..... Love to you all.... See you all next year!
Stay safe, stay smiling Donna xxx xxx xxx
